Who is Saffron Barker?
Saffron Barker is a wonderful YouTube sensation, with a channel covering all things lifestyle, wellbeing, travel and fun! From travel to Strictly Come Dancing, Saffron shares everything that Tone & Sculpt is about: an insight into her real life! You will have seen her recently getting fit and healthy in Instagram live workouts with our Lead Trainer, Krissy Cela too!
Saffron is a Tone & Sculpt Spokeswoman as she represents what we aspire for all women in our community: to embark on a journey, one that makes them strong, confident and ultimately happy in their physical and mental wellbeing. Saffron has such a positive and realistic approach to health and wellbeing - you will see her work hard, try and try again - and it only gets better! We are so happy she is part of the Tone & Sculpt community and can’t wait for her to continue sharing her journey with the @toneandsculptapp community!
To get to know her a little better, we asked Saffron a few questions:
What does keeping fit and active mean to you?
I’ve always loved working out, but only ever did it to lose weight & I’ve always struggled. Now I’ve fallen in love with getting fitter and stronger and changing my body shape comes with it. I’ve had a Love/ hate relationship with fitness for years because I never really understood how my body worked, but since being part of the T&S community I’ve learnt so much about my own fitness and personal well being and I’ve found a new passion for fitness.
What do you love about the Tone & Sculpt app and community?
I love the community! I love how easy it is to use, it keeps you on track and the Sculpt It guide is a favourite of mine - so easy, efficient and effective!! I love the challenges, especially the new lower body strength challenge and I absolutely love the kettlebell workout too!
On days when you're feeling less motivated, what do you do to pick yourself back up and to put you in a 'can do' mood?
When I’m not feeling motivated I remind myself how great I feel after and it pushes me through. No one ever said “I really regret that workout’ ever!
If there was one piece of advice you could give to fellow women about their wellbeing, what would it be?
My best piece of advice would be not to compete or compare yourself to others; do what’s right and feels good for you. We’re all so very different! Set yourself achievable goals and don’t beat yourself up if you fall off from reaching your goal - just pick yourself back up and start again. As the T&S community says, you are doing this for YOU!
