Tone & Sculpt Ambassadors: Meet Kristine

by Zahara Chowdhury

If you are looking for someone to inspire you, look no further than our gorgeous ambassador Kristine. Not only is she a full time student, who maintains a part time job, studies hard and trains 5 times a week, she also posts workout videos every single week to help you all on your own fitness journey.
This beautiful boss babe actually created the idea of the Tone & Sculpt ambassador programme (for which I will be eternally grateful) so needless to say she has been with us since the beginning. Her ambition, drive, HUGE heart, sass and hilarious sense of humour (she literally has me in tears of laughter sometimes) are just a few of all the things we love about this amazing lady. I feel so fortunate to have her as part of my life and I’m excited for this opportunity for you all to get to know her a little better too.

Tell us a little bit about yourself Kristine.

My name is Kristine Ann, I’m a 20 years old student from Massachusetts, USA.

Tell me about your fitness journey so far and how you got started with Tone & Sculpt.

My fitness journey has been bumpy, but it’s for sure finally feeling like I’m on steady ground.
Ever since finding Krissy’s plans and then the Tone & Sculpt app I've felt more confident and consistent than ever. I’ve made the most progress since last January when the app launched.
I chose Tone & Sculpt because I’ve followed Krissy and her guides since 2017. I loved the workouts and everything Krissy stands for. I knew her vibe was so genuine and she knew what she was talking about! So I knew the Tone & Sculpt app was the next step for me.
The app has taken a load of stress off of me, especially mentally. I don’t worry about doing too much in the gym or too little or worry about if I’m not pushing myself hard enough. I get really anxious and like to know what’s happening when, so the app helps me go in with a plan and relieve the anxiety! The app tells me what to do and allows for my workouts to flow more smoothly.
The fact that you can switch out certain exercises for others, I love that feature! If the gym is busy it’s so easy to just replace it with another one that’s more accommodating.

Tell us about how you became an ambassador and what it means to you?

I actually came up with the idea to have an ambassador program for the app. I emailed Krissy when the app first launched and she put the idea into action within the next couple of days! It means the absolute world to me. I’ve found a forever family, and I am so passionate about helping women around the world. That is why this app’s message resonates so well with me.

What does health mean to you?

Health means not depriving yourself ever, going to the gym because it makes you feel good, not to look a certain way. It means to be healthy mentally and physically. Health doesn’t have a body type.
Staying healthy is important to me because it makes me feel good. I used to feel awful when I had unhealthy habits, but now I can say I feel good in the skin I’m in.

What advice would you give to someone starting their fitness journey?

Bring a friend with you! Either one who’s familiar with the gym or just starting out as well, this will take some anxiety out of it!

What one piece of advice would you give your younger self when you started your fitness journey?

I’d tell myself that you don’t need to be as thin as the women portrayed on television or movies. That there isn’t one acceptable body type, and cardio isn’t the answer.

What is your current workout split and why have you chosen this?

Expert mode 5x a week! I chose this split because I love a good challenge and to push myself to my absolute limits. The gym is a part of my everyday life so I don’t find it a chore to get there!

Do you have any diet restrictions and if so, how do you modify your diet to reflect this?

I’m a vegan! Honestly I’ve been vegan for so long I’m not sure how I modified it!

What are your go to snacks?

Protein bars or bananas!

Tell me your top three gym bag essentials.

Barbell pad (yes I bring my own haha) , hydro flask, and headphones

What are your future fitness goals?

Definitely to gain upper body definition

Have you ever struggled with confidence in the gym and what would be your tips for others that are struggling?

Yes! I couldn’t wear a crop top or sports bra in the gym until this past summer. Honestly my tips are one day try working out in just a sports bra and see how it feels. You may see yourself and be like DANGG WHO IS SHE?? And realize you’ve reached your full potential as the powerful woman we all know you are.

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

My biggest challenge was not depriving myself. I had a difficult past with food, so I used to avoid all sweets until the weekend hit and then it was a bomb of food all at once. I’d eat everything! It was so bad and halting any results I was going to get. When I finally figured out how to find a balance between having my sweets when I want them I saw results!

What is your favourite meal from the app?

Peanut butter and jelly sandwich!!

Who inspires you the most and why?

My mom! She is a single mom who works three jobs to make sure we have a roof over our heads. I adore her, she is the most hardworking person I’ve ever met.

What motivates you?

Being strong. I genuinely just want to feel like I can protect myself if I need to. And also be able to lift up my chubby fur baby because that’s goals.

What is your favourite playlist from the Tone & Sculpt app's spotify?

What is your go to power song?

Cash S**t by Megan thee stallion ft. DaBaby

Tell us something that you are proud of.

My drive! I go to school full time, work part time, post & film content, try to have a social life, do hours of homework, go to the gym 5x a week and manage to not explode. I'm proud that I accomplish it all!

If you had a super power what would it be?

What's your favorite animal?

Dogs or giraffes

One meal where calories don't count it would be?

Chocolate chip cookies

If you had to eat the same meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Tempeh tacos

What is your favourite movie?

Safe Haven

Cardio or weights

Breakfast or Dinner
Breakfast (protein oats all day everyday)

Beach or mountains

Veggies or fruit

Summer or winter

Upper body or legs

Sweet or savoury
Sweet! I don't have a savoury bone in my body!

Please share with us your mantra.
