My journey has been about creating a new mindset with nutrition and fitness. I am not looking for a quick fix but a lifestyle change. I have overcome the obsession with wanting to look a certain way and rather wanting to feel good mentally and physically and loving myself enough to want to create a healthier lifestyle.
A few years ago, I was encouraged to qualify as a level 2 fitness instructor and then a personal trainer. I went on to qualify as a kettlebell, spin, reformer Pilates, and Purestretch instructor. I realised how ‘well’ my physical and mental health made me feel and I wanted to pass on this knowledge to fellow colleagues, students and people in my position.
‘Six months from now, your life can be so much better mentally, physically and financially. Know that you have the power to change it all one day at a time.’ - Lewis Howes. If you would have said this to me in the beginning of 2019 I would have laughed. I’m not a negative person but honestly, I couldn’t see much change happening for me. I had been stuck in a rut for what felt like years. Have you ever felt this way?
I downloaded the Tone & Sculpt app, and I was so determined because it was promoted to be SO EASY, and after 10 concentrated minutes, I made my first meal plan. I started tracking my water and it kinda made me competitive to ME.
My favourite feature on the app is that there is a video of each exercise so that you can check your form and make sure you are doing the exercise correctly.
